김경섭 어린이는 1988년 당시 원종국민학교(현재 초등학교)에 재학 중이었으며, 본인의 기억과 개인 기록에 따르면 미동국민학교 태권도 시범단의 정규 재학생은 아니었지만 스페셜 인원으로 선발되어 1988 서울올림픽 태권도 시범 관련 인원에 포함되었습니다.

당시 김경섭 어린이는 약 8세였습니다. 이 기록은 미동국민학교 태권도 시범단, 88 서울올림픽 유소년 태권도 시범, 그리고 당시 특별 선발 인원에 관한 개인 역사 기록을 보존하기 위해 공개합니다.

From Kim Kyung-seop to Master Kevin Kim

Kim Kyung-seop (김경섭), known today as Master Kevin Kim, later moved to the United States and continued his life in Taekwondo. He is now the owner and master of Kim’s Tae Kwon Do in Leesburg, Virginia.

Master Kevin Kim continues to teach Taekwondo to children, teens, and adults in Northern Virginia, carrying forward the Korean martial art that was presented to an international audience during the era of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
